The advanced low drop regulators are Micrel MIC5380 and Micrel MIC 8381. It will ideal for providing portable devices. Dual Low Dropout regulators provide two independently controlled high performance in compact size. In regulation power FET may be reduce the power consumption, but this drastically increase the price and cause problems when the regulator used for low input voltage, because FET require 10 to 15 v to open completely.
